The version 1.2.0 was a bug that crashed app at opening, but now it is fully functional!
The design is absolutly phenomenal but the speed of execution is terrible and I thought it would gave me the temperature of the inside of my house it wasnt the case.
In general, a nice app that performs the simple task it is designed to do. One problem ... the windchill factor calculation is off by a enormous amount. For example: Right now ... Temp is 4.8 C, and windspeed is 12.9 kmh, and it reports a windchill of -26 C (correct answer is 1.85 C)
This app would be better if the current temp you check stays on the app after its minimized, until the next time you use the app. I use this app at least once every hour. That would be great!!!!!
Ive been using this app for a couple of years and all over the US and parts of Europe and find it quite accurate
Small, fast application to give you your current temperature. Could use the ability to lock in Fahrenheit, but I emailed the developer and he said that will be in the next release. The first few times that you open the app it asks to use your current location, but then stops unless you change locations.
Not actually a thermometer. Cleverly uses your current GPS location to retrieve outside temperature data reported for a location near you. Does not MEASURE temp at all. Useless for inside temps or for measuring the difference in temp between sunny and shaded areas. Works fine for what it does, but it should be called OUTDOOR TEMP or something like that, because it is NOT a thermometer. Frankly, you already have this info on the stadard Weather app, albiet not quite as micro-geographicaly specific. Too bad -- it would be nice to have a real thermometer app.
This only gives you the outside temperature which is already given in another "free" app. Dont waste your money on this one.
No controls. Would not change to farenheit. Free apps offer better usage.
WONT SWITCH TO FAHRENHEIT ; WASTE OF TIME
The idea using the GPS location for outdoor info is brilliant; Ive tried this on multiple locations, and particularly in areas with significant changes in weather locally, this is very helpful (and more accurate than the standard weather report). Outdoor temp, wind, wind chill, humidity, barometric pressure -what else could you need? Here is my criticism though: the font size is ridiculously small; you should reduce the upper part and make it better readable. Also, you dont need the big sized unit selector; have a small one in the upper part (just "ºF" or "ºC" is sufficient) and this would free up space on the bottom - then it would get 5 stars.
I use it all the time to decide on what to wear when I go for my daily bike ride. It works just fine. It does not appear to "just" go out and get the same temprature that my "weather" application gets. It appears to goes into more detail and gets the temperatue from a temperature map since I find it more accurate than my "weather" application for the temperatures at my house which is up on a hill and tends to be colder. I would like to be able to switch between C and F, plus I would like the ability to use a different location.
Work great and gives you immediate temp for your location. It automatically switches to Fahrenheit after getting your GPS location a couple of times.
What a crock of S---! It reads temp from somewhere, its not a real thermometer. I scored it one star to make sure this review would be accepted. Its a CRAP-APP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Free one at least gives temperature in Fahrenheit. Paid my buck to get wind speed etc. Gives it in kph; pressure in millibars not inches of Hg; wind chill in Celsius. Location services on and Im in Pittsburgh, Pa where we havent switched to metric yet. I wonder if Ill get Farenheit when Im in Europe!!! US users save your money until(if) they fix.
Dont listen to negative reviews, those people didnt read the description. It never says it actually measures temperature it uses your GPS location to determine the local outdoor temperature. It says its OUTDOOR temperature in the description of the app. Negative review people, read it before you buy it.
I deleted the free application then the 99 cent version less than 5 min after the download. What a shame the developer is more interested in making 99 cents. Come to think of it the free version is worth exactly what I paid and the 99 cent version is worth exactly 99 times the price of the free version.
Piece of junk. It does not work
